How to Write a Secret Message

You and your friends like playing “Spy Kids”. You are ready to take your spy skills to the next level. How can you send a secret message to your friends that only your group can read? You write in invisible ink. But how can you make your own?

This is what you need:

    Toothpick

    Lemon juice

    Paper

Heat (a light bulb, or an iron)

This is what you do:

Dip the round side of the toothpick in the lemon juice.

Write your secret message on the paper.

Let the paper dry until you can’t read it anymore.

Send it to your spy buddy.

Have them move the paper back and forth over the heat.

As the lemon juice heats up the message can be seen.
